In this paper, we study β-compactness and present a new class of compactness in ideal
topological space, viz. βρI-compact spaces, by utilizing the notion of β-open sets. We also
present some basic properties and characterizations of the generalized forms of βρI-com
pactness and the effect of some different types of functions on them.
