Deterministic Soft Set with Application in Decision Making

Abstract

This paper focus on the study of deterministic soft set with application in decision making. The traditional soft set is a mapping from a parameter to the crisp subset of universe. Molodtsov introduced the theory of soft sets as a generalized tool for modeling complex systems involving uncertain or not clearly defined objects. In this paper the concepts of deterministic soft set is introduced as a modification of the soft set theory. Based on the definition, we put forth the complement, union, intersection, OR and AND operation. Furthermore, we give application of this concept in solving decision making problem by developing an algorithm, which is demonstrated with a numerical example to validate the theoretical arguments.
