Deign of Frequency Hopping Circuit in a Wireless Communication Network
Abstract
The study presents the design and implementation of a comparative wireless communication network that employ the Frequency Hopping (FH) technique as a counter measure against interference and malicious attacks. In Frequency Hopping, both transmitting and receiving circuits dynamically change its operating frequencies within predetermined time intervals. This approach significantly reduces the risk of interception and disruption by untrusted nodes, thereby ensuring that confidential information remain secure between legitimate endpoints. The inherently open nature of wireless network exposes them to security threats such as jamming, eavesdropping and unauthorized access, which compromised both the confidentiality and reliability of transmitted signals. To address these challenges, a Frequency Hopping Anti-Jammer system is developed using an ESP32 Microcontroller. The Microcontroller executes d program logic for message generation, transmission and reception while simultaneously controlling the Frequency Hopping sequence by rapidly and unpredictable altering carrier frequency and the system effectively mitigate jamming attack. The proposed design has practical application in scenario where highly secure communication is critical for security agencies, defense operation and top level Government officials
