A Comparative Study of Phytochemical and Antimicrobial Activity of Enancia Chlorantha and Tamarindus Indica

One of the main sources of organic chemicals is medicinal plants. The purpose of
the project research is to examine the antibacterial qualities and phytochemical
compositions of Tamarindus indica and Enancia chlorantha. Qualitative
phytochemical analyses of Tamarindus indica and Enancia chlorantha reveal that
both plants have alkaloids, phenols, flavanoids, and saponins; however, glycosides
are absent in the former but present in the latter, and tannins are present in the
former but absent in the latter, and reducing sugar is not found in any of the plants.
This study also looked at the plants' ability to inhibit the growth of aspergillus niger,
Escherichia coli, candida albican, and streptococcus aureus. The results showed that
the plant extracts were more effective at low concentrations than high
concentrations, and that they showed moderate inhibitions against the growth of
these bacteria. The study advances our knowledge of these plants' medicinal
potential, which may have important ramifications for the creation of natural
products and medication.
